Leslie Langevin, MS RD CD, President
Leslie co-owns Whole Health Nutrition and is a dietitian as her day job as is taking care of Henry and her other son Zachary. Leslie co-founded Building Hope for Children to start a therapeutic community residence to provide another option for children like her son Henry with significant developmental disabilities both medical and behavioral so that they do not need to be sent out of state and can remain close to home and their families.
Eric Langevin, M.Ed, Treasurer
Eric is a teacher at Essex High School and loves helping kids learn and thrive while providing significant care and support of his son’s Henry and Zachary. Eric has helped co-found Building Hope for Children to help keep Henry close to home so he can thrive and grow in Vermont and be closer to his family.
Luke Fox, Secretary
Luke has spent over half his life volunteering and working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. He is currently working toward becoming a child therapist and believes wholeheartedly that our systems should work to recognize the unique needs of every individual.
Ken Schatz
Ken is retired after a professional career including serving as City Attorney for the City of Burlington, Vermont and as Commissioner of the Vermont Department for Children and Families. He is participating in Building Hope for Children because he has seen the challenges and harmful impact on children and parents in those circumstances when a therapeutic home is needed but not available.
Dr. Steve Hale
Steve is a pediatrician at Essex Pediatrics. He is involved with Building Hope for Children because every child is worthy of the best love we can give as an individual and a community and feels a therapeutic community residence will help meet this need.
Kelsey Bilodeau
Kelsey is currently a member of the law firm Gottesman, Wolgel, Flynn & Weinberg, P.C. in New York. She is Building Hope for Children’s founder Leslie Langevin’s sister and Henry Langevin’s aunt. She is hoping this therapeutic community residence will give Henry a place to thrive and help other children in similar situations.
Dylan McNamara, Ph.D
Dylan has over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health and education. As a psychologist and leader in education, he recognizes that we need to do more to improve our continuum of services and support for families and children with intensive needs. He is excited to be a part of this project as we work to create meaningful, impactful, and inclusive services for those in need.
